Half Marathon

START: 10am Saturday, December 22, 2012. The start is near Applebee's at 2300 West 11th Avenue, Eugene, Oregon, one tenth of a mile west of City View St., on the Fern Ridge Bike Path.

FINISH: Richardson Park, Fern Ridge Reservoir, Veneta, Oregon.

REGISTER: You may register ONLINE until 11:59pm PST on Thursday, Dec. 20th or complete the PRINTABLE ENTRY FORM. You may drop it off until 12pm on Thursday, Dec. 20th at Eugene Running Company at 116 Oakway Center, Eugene, OR 97401 or mail it to Pink Buffalo Racing, P.O. Box 5404, Eugene, OR 97405. Mailed entries must be postmarked by Dec. 15th. Please make checks payable to Pink Buffalo Racing. Please do not send cash. There are no refunds and the entry is non-transferable.
You may register at Eugene Running Company on Friday, Dec. 21 between 4p-7p. Cash or check, only.
Race Day Registration is inside Applebee's at 2300 West 11th Ave, Eugene, OR 97402 from 8:30am - 9:45am.

PACKET PICK-UP: Friday, December 21, 4pm-7pm at Eugene Running Company (116 Oakway). Race day packet pick-up is inside Applebee's at 2300 West 11th Ave, Eugene, OR 97402 from 8:30am-9:45am for half marathoners only.

COURSE: It follows the Fern Ridge Bike Path until Royal & Green Hill. It proceeds north on Green Hill and then west on Clear Lake Road into Richardson Park. The course is open to traffic - participants are expected to follow the rules of the road. Participants must run single file on Green Hill Rd and no more than 2 abreast on Clear Lake Rd. There will be certified flaggers at intersections where the bike path intersects streets such as Oak Patch and Bailey Hill Rd. Course marshals will be at other major intersections. Click the green button for a course map. If you think you might as for a map at the start on race day, please print one and bring it with you. Distance & Mile Markers on race day will be marked according to the USATF Certification. Here is a MapMyRun link. All of the course is on paved roads with the exception of two tenths on gravel and a tenth of a mile on grass at the finish. The course and finish line close at 4 hours, which is 2pm. Please wear your race bib clearly on your outer layer so we can keep track of you on the course. Please stay as far away from the white line that separates the driving lane and the bike lane for your safety. 
                                          
                                                

AID STATIONS: Aid stations will be at (approx.) miles 3, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5. Aid stations will have water, Clif Bar Shot Bloks, light snacks and basic first aid. There will be portable toilets at (approx.) miles 3, 7.5 and 10 the course. Water will be available at the start & finish.

CHIP TIMING: Eugene Holiday Half & Hustle are chip timed events. The timing chip fastens to the top of your shoe with the zip tie provided in your packet. The zip tie works in one direction - make sure you hear it zip. Unreturned chips carry a $20 replacement fee. PARKING PASS: Your registration fee includes parking. Participants & spectators will not need to pay for parking at the toll station. Please carpool if you can, as parking is limited.

SHUTTLES: Shuttles will leave from the finish at Richardson Park in Fern Ridge Reservoir starting at 8:00am. Please arrive early so you have a seat on a bus. When you arrive at the start, you can stay warm inside Applebee's.

BAG CHECK: There will be a bag check at the start. Eugene Holiday Half will provide the bags and your belongings will be shuttled to the finish. Please write your name and bib number on the bag we give you so you can reclaim it at the finish.

DOGS: Dogs are not allowed on any of the courses.

STROLLERS: Strollers are not allowed on the half marathon course.

AWARDS: Top 3 males and females overall and in each AGE GROUP will be given awards. All participants that finish the half marathon will receive a finisher medal. There will be a prizes for the most festively dressed participants.

SHIRTS: Order before 12/1 to guarantee your size will be available. Half marathon finishers will receive a Greenlayer tech short sleeve shirt. If you register after November 30th, we cannot guarantee that we will have your t-shirt size & gender preference. Thank you for understanding.

POST-RACE REFRESHMENTS: Rogue Ales will be providing a complimentary beer garden for individuals 21 years and older. Tips are appreciated. Track Town Pizza will be providing an assortment of pizza. We will have other gluten-free and dairy-free options available.

                 Holiday Hustle 10K & 5K

STROLLERS: Strollers are allowed on the 10K & 5K courses. Please be aware that the course travels with traffic on Clear Lake Rd on a large shoulder (10-12 feet wide) and there is one gravel section and one grass section.

AWARDS: Top 3 males and females overall and top 3 M & F in each AGE GROUP will be given awards. There will be a prizes for the most festively dressed participants.

SHIRTS: Shirts sizes and gender preferences are guaranteed through November 30th. A limited amount of Greenlayer tech short sleeve shirts may be available for purchase at packet pick up on Friday and/or Saturday if we have them available. Cash or check only. If you purchased a shirt when you registered and we do not have your size, we can give you a shirt refund. We ordered plenty of shirts so order away!

                                                        Kid's Hustle

The kid's run will start and finish at the finish line at Richardson Park at 9:45am. Kids do not need to register to participate. Kids will be given a candy cane to celebrate their finish.
